Portfolio
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. At the Dayton Regional STEM School, a STEM education means that students, parents and teachers are engaged in relevant, rigorous and relationship-based educational experiences. Students participate in inquiry and project-based instruction that integrates the traditional STEM content areas with social studies, language arts and fine arts. The Dayton Regional STEM School has identified five important qualities that are taught, practiced and assessed during our project based learning activities. DRSS believes Persistence, Collaboration, Communication, Creativity and Inquiry are important for students’ development and success at school, in higher education, in professional growth and in life! The curriculum is directly connected to the real world of work through our many regional partnerships.
