After about a week of studying good set ups and places for comic books we started on this project that was about the trade of food, plants, cultures, even disease at the Columbian Exchange. At the beginning of this project we were given an option to pick if we wanted to write a comic on a food, plant or disease and there will be certain types of each that were commonly traded. My pick of which was a disease called scarlet fever. I picked this one because my brother and sisters commonly have 5th disease which is almost low grade scarlet fever so I had some experience with this disease, plus I thought the name was interesting! After picking our topic we were required to pick out which perception our topic will be in for example is it in the topics view, is it someone handling that topic, or is it in someone just watching the whole thing (first, second, & third person point of view). I decided to have first person point of view because already had an idea of what I wanted to do which came in handy when that was the next step we do is brainstorming. I thought of doing multiple characters of this one disease but then decided not to because if I did just one personality I can go really detailed and keep it going throughout the whole story. So one we have the main idea our class was given storyboard where we draw what we want there and write the story underneath it to follow along with the image and with the knowledge we had about how everything should be set up, and what we could do and what was not the best idea to do, this was the easiest part for me. So with our first draft done and set aside I started working with my final since the due date is around a week which gave me plenty of time to finish. Mostly all I really did was recopy what I did in my first draft on to a nicer sheet of paper which surprising made a huge different but also adding anything I can to make the comic more sharp and less of looking like a draft. I really enjoyed this comic and I know I am going to keep it for a long time to. Putting this under a quality it would be inquiry because it took a lot of problem solving being an individual assignment and all.
