MY FAIMLY

Eighth grade is the first year students begin to learn Chinese. This was a project to test how much we really knew and understood what we were practicing. We had to make a power point that had a main page, one that talks about the family as a whole, one for each one of my family members, and the last page covers everything about our pets. Each page has even more narrowed down requirements one of which being everything has to be written in both English and simplified Chinese, and the rest of them are:

     Main page:

    *Title

    *Name

     Family:

    *How many family members?

     Family Member:

    *Age

    *Job or Grade

    *Female or Male?

    *Parent or sibling

     Pets:

    *How many?

    *What kind?

    *Name

    *Big or Small?

    *Nice or Mean?

After we had our power point slides we presented them to our class. We were graded on how well we pronounced and designed each slide. Then I answered any questions my audience had at the end. The only problems I had were getting all the pictures to fit in the back ground, which was resolved after trial and error. The quality I would relate this project to is Communication because it is an important key when learning a different language. To be able to repeat the tones and pronounce the pinyin allows me to relate the meaning to English and it understand it. I could say this project was a great way to practice and it helped me.
